Welcome to The School of the Lion website.

The School of the Lion is a Christian independent school at Churcham, just west of Gloucester, for students from 4 to 19 years old. The school is part of the work of the educational charity – Christian Families Educating Together (CFET).

This year we are celebrating 24 years of Christian Education.  We remain committed to our core vision to help parents provide Christ-centred education within a Biblical framework.  As a learning community we aim to provide education that is consistent with the teaching and values of the Christian home and church – where Jesus Christ is honoured as Creator, Saviour and Lord of every part of life.

It is with great sadness that we announce that The School of the Lion will be finishing with our final School Devotions on Wednesday 19th December 2012.

We give thanks to our Heavenly Father for 24 amazing years, filled with His grace, provision, wisdom and joy. Scores of children and young people have been trained for life and equipped for service in a Christ-centred environment and within a Biblical framework.

We continue to pray for breakthrough so that Bible-based, Christian education can continue in Gloucestershire; knowing that we have a miracle-working God and that “God can make a way where there seems to be no way”.
